Pic of the week! (finally)

Since Camden came home from the hospital, he has been sleeping in our bed. So we bribed him with two guinea pigs and he has been sleeping ALL night into his bed for 2 weeks! So proud of our superhero!

A very special meet up

Yesterday we finally met up with our NICU friends!! It's been a long time waiting. Callie is adorable and such smartie! I hope Ailyn was taking notes while she was watching her.

Ailyn has a hair pulling obsession, you got hair, she will pull hard. Poor Callie was a tough girl (are we surprised?)

I have tears in my eyes just looking at this picture. I can recall talking to Marci and Lee twice a day about how our babies were doing in the NICU, always envisioning this moment of our two happy healthy girls sitting together a year later.

"did I ask if you already have hair I could pull?"

"UMMM Callie, how the heck did you get up there by yourself??? Can you teach me"

Thank you Lee and Marci, we had a great lunch. We will do it again when the weather is not 100 degrees. And, hopefully Fran, Renee and Tyler (who is also doing amazing!) will join us!

Baptism

Thank you to Julia and Debbie for standing in for Ailyn's Godparents. R & S were mentioned and not forgotten on this special day. Debbie helped the EMT'S get in the house when I went into labor. We are eternally grateful to her.

umm, yes Jon is taller than me and Ben is taller than Aaron!(Ben had lacrosse) Insane! I nannied them for 8 years! Feels like just yesterday Jon was a newborn!

I really need him to stop growing up!

Goodbye BFF

We said goodbye to our friends who stayed with us 14 days. As always our visits are full of fun. Never a dull moment, yet very relaxing. It was nice to give my ear a break from talking on the phone for hours to R. Instead we talked for hours right next to each other!

As you have seen in my many blog posts over the past weeks, R and I love photography. This has been the same for 25 years! We used to dress up and take pictures of ourselves and others. We have since started a photography business with another partner. If interested in our services please leave a message (it's private) and I will send you our website.

The nuggets all had fun together. S&M were troopers and didn't mind playing with a 5 year old (who can get very bossy) The girls were such a huge help with Ailyn too! In fact Camden had so much fun he told R that he wants a big sister. So M sold her big sister for $5.00!

It's official

It's official! My BFF, one of my favorite people in the world is now officially Ailyn's Godmother. Since R can't be here for Ailyn's baptism, Joanna came over to do a small blessing. Thank you Joanna, for taking time out of your busy day to make R apart of Ailyn's special day.

When choosing Ailyn's Godparents, it was an easy decision. R and I have been best friends since 4th grade. We were in the same class for 4 years. In high school R moved away but remained in touch throughout the years. Today you will still find us talking for hours and hours, everyday on the phone. Ailyn's Godfather is R's husband and again, we are very proud to have him stand for our Ailyn.

Thank you R for always being there for me and my family. I love you so much!!!!!

Our 4th

We had the best 4th of July yet! My BFF is here for 2 weeks. It has been so fun seeing the kids play together. R & I met when we were 9 years old. Crazy to think it's 25+ years later!
