Lego Club

March was our turn to host "Lego Club". Since there are no clubs closeby, a few Mom's started one through Facebook and word of mouth.

I put some (yes, we have much more) of our Legos on the dining room table and let them go at it. It was fun to listen to their conversations. The best one was about how God is the boss of the world but Mom's come next.

Our Daddy came up with an awesome idea of filling eggs with Legos. We hid a bunch of eggs and the boys had to find them. They had to build something out of the Lego's they found. Then they had to tell the judge all about their creation. And, the best one! They really enjoyed this, it was cool to see how creative they got with the pieces they had to build with.

We look forward to April's Lego Club!!!

Tired Thursdays

Ailyn has speech at 9:30. For 20 minutes we work on feeding. Then she plays some games. Ailyn's new favorite "toy" is the iPad.
We combine speech and PT for a 1/2 hour. Mainly to save a trip to the hospital every week.
The last 1/2 is PT. Rejani makes her walk and walk. Today Ailyn's balance was way off due to an ear infection that won't go away.
Her favorite thing in PT is to climb the steps and at the top peak at me and laugh. She works so hard on Thursdays. She crashes in the car the first few minutes on the highway.

A date to D.C.

A very wise friend once told me to keep a good marriage last, you have to go on dates together. We have been trying to do that more now that the kids are a little older. Last weekend we got a sitter for a full day and headed down to D.C. to see the cherry blossoms.

I love that 11 years later we can walk hand in hand like we just started dating yesterday.

We had a great day walking (A LOT) all over D.C. We ate a great lunch at a place called Carmine's.

I'll be honest, 7 hours into our date, I was not ready to go home. I needed a full day to relax and talk adult talk! I look forward to our next date....which will be our 11th anniversary (how is that possible??)!!

Happy St. Patrick's Day!!

Have I ever told you that Pinterest ROCKS? They had a leprechaun trap project that I knew Camden would love. I fear art projects with Ailyn. The only way to explain is think of an ADHD child on crack. If she were my only child I would NEVER do an art project with her!

We painted a rainbow because leprechauns are attracted to rainbows. It will help lure them into the trap.

Camden was very patient and took his time creating his trap. Meanwhile, Ailyn was biting him and I think she grabbed his trap 40 times.

Next, we  set the trap. You have to find  a spot where you think leprechauns will most likely come out to dance in the moonlight on St. Patrick’s Day. We chose the dining room table.

Sadly, we did not catch the leprechaun. Camden said "WE WERE SO CLOSE!" But, he did leave lots of change, foot prints and a green pee in the potty.
